Am I going to be able to play this game with my quest 2 in the future?
I don’t know the answer, but I’d be very surprised as there is no enough performance or disk size.
Quest with usb link is same as every other headset. So there is no reason it wont. Wireless only by streaming from pc.
I meant with quest link not on actually vr system
As long as Open EXR is used then of course Q2 is compatible when Asobo enable the VR code.
Ooops, sorry, though I am an Oculus owner, I somehow missed this technology completely.
This simply isnt true as we still don’t know which 3d render method VR mode in the sim will utilize.
Whether it be eye alternating, single pass or full strereoscopic 3D.
All depends on the Oculus implementation Asobo goes with at what variable refresh rate also 72hz vs 80hz vs 90hz through whichever display method…USB…displayport bandwith
Stereoscopic 3D has nothing to do with 3D on a VR headset, same with variable refreshrates and if it uses HDMI-USB or whatever. What you describe is tech used years ago with 3d tv and stereoscopic glasses.
Do you own the Quest 2?
How about you read up on the technology used instead of accusing me of lying.
Do you own the Quest 2…yes or no.
Don’t try and deflect now with insults…I have you right where I want you.
I can easily prove something to you…go ahead answer.
Don’t run now…
Want me to send you proof to?
Well I own a Q2 and don’t have any problems in Vulkan or DX12 in other programs so the point is probably moot.
Ok you’re running…cool
It’s ok though I understand.
Take care!
Do you feel your Quest 2 can play any title in VR with working stereoscopic 3d that works with Rift S or CV1? Its a simple yes or no question.
Yes it does. If you use USB LINK you can play any PCVR game. SteamVR-OCULUS. And both The Quest 1 and 2 can do that. I’m done arguing so have a nice day…
I have no idea as I only use it for XPL and DCS. It runs without stutter at a 4k resolution, that is using the Oculus software at 1.4x.
I don’t understand the technology but I do know it works very well in every sim I’ve tried it on, so I don’t have any worries, per se with the new FS.
Exactly we’ll just have to wait and see.
That’s all I was getting at.
As the Quest 2 PCVR method will not render the eye alternating nor single pass 3d correctly.
In which I’m currently working on…I’m hoping the VR implementation for MSFS will be full stereo
and not the cheaper eye alternating or single pass methods, but we will see.
XPlane is really nice, my only issue is the 2d trees. But it’s a great experience, can’t wait to see MSFS in VR…
Of course you will. Why wouldn’t you. Quest 2 is a great headset and will be supported under the Oculus brand for non WMR headsets so not initially but shortly after. Have faith!
