Start VR by powering up Mixed Reality Portal and I can leave it at ‘Ready’ image page

(Settings Windows10 / Mixed reality / Headset display / Experience options;

  • set to “Optimize for performance”, so skipping the ‘Home’ page activation with my Reverb G1)

I noticed that since last updates (OpenXR Developer Tools for Windows Mixed Reality 105.2102.11004 & OpenXR for Windows Mixed Reality) MSFS will start out of the black universe “Put on your headset” VR portal,

where before I had to make sure to be in the Home view (the villa with the terras),
which saves quit the amount of hassle waiting for that Home view.

never had to do any of that. I just hit my hot key button to switch to VR and put my headset on and I’m in the plane. I don’t touch anything with WMR home or anything. that will all start up in the background.

you must have your headset always attached? I switch off my headset with a switched HUB. Does your headset get warm?

I always have my headset plugged into my PC if that is what you mean, yes. But it powers down if idle for 15 minutes. I’ve never had a problem with it getting too hot but have probably never had it on for more than 2 hours at a time. Well I should say never had a problem with flight sims, when playing Skyrim or Half Life or Beat Saber you can work up a sweat moving around so much!
