G1000. Growing on You or Still Prefer Steam Gauges?

I can’t possibly agree any stronger with the advice to use @ScorpionFilm422’s mod, which can be found here.

It makes me want to fly nothing but 530 equipped aircraft, which means the steam 172 (that uses both the 530 and 430), the Carenado Seminole, and the Carenado Mooney, but that one needs some tweaking in VR. There are also 3 or 4 aircraft that use “just” the 430, but I’m not sure which those are. Maybe someone who knows can chime in. I think the Extra uses it, in conjunction with what might be a GX, but I’m not all that familiar with that instrument, and I’m not usually worried about doing much navigating when I’m flying the Extra. Mostly I use it to skim the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon lol…

But word of warning, if you take that all the way to the Hoover Dam, there are a handful of scenery anomalies at the bottom of the Canyon itself that can pop up in front of you if you’re not paying attention, and the bridge just past the dam itself looks like there is air under it, but there’s an invisible wall. I’m surprised they didn’t fix that in the US scenery update, but apparently they did not. Unless I crashed into something else, like the bridge supports or side of the canyon itself, but I don’t think so. Perhaps I should go back and test it again, or see if someone made better Hoover Dam scenery.

EDIT: I found a freeware scenery of the Hoover Dam, made by @srinivasman, and I’ve had nothing but good results with his stuff. You can find it here.
