Try disconnecting all your peripherals except keyboard and mouse. If it doesn’t happen then, the problem is likely with your controllers or the way they’re bound to the sim.

Bizarrely disconnecting USB throttle and joystick during flight did restore plane power and G1000 correctly booted up.

For the record:
ThrustMaster Airbus throttle+flaps+speedbrake
ThrustMaster Airbus joystick

Yep, I figured you had an Airbus TQ. There’s something about those Start toggle switches that messes with the Alternator and or Battery Power on many planes other than an Airbus. You may want to create an alternate controller profile and disable those mappings to fly other planes.

Roger on alternate mappings.

99% of controls are push/toggle buttons. Some Airbus TQ controls behave like rocker switches, which complicates input event handling.

I’ve ordered a 7-port powered USB hub with rocker switches to isolate each device.
