Is there an easier way to turn the knobs on the G1000 then using those arrows around the knob. Being able to select a knob then use the mouse wheel to change the values, something like that.
You mean like hovering over the knob with the mouse and turning the knob with the mouse wheel? Yes.

If you happen to use the new input method, you can also click and hold the left mouse button and drag. That scrolls really fast, which is useful if you need to make a big adjustment to the heading bug, for example. For this reason alone, I put up with the new method.
