The patch notes don’t say anything specific on a flap modeling except from specific changes to a few aircraft:
So if you have details on what actually has been changed, we could see if that’s affecting the G36.
@FrettFS updated the stock version of the files for comparison, the previous state was from September 2020:
I can see a lot of tweaked parameters in the flight_model.cfg but nothing that would suggest there was a significant modeling change 
If Asobo would provide more details about their changes and how to adapt them in custom configurations, all of that would be easier.
As of now with every update, every mod and 3rd party needs to do comparisons and try to figure out which changes are required (if any).
