I guess it is intended. The aircraft cannot ‘measure’ the wind when standing still. It needs to be moving in the air and have data like heading&airspeed on the one side and ground track&ground speed on the other. With these values the wind angle and speed can be calculated by the onboard systems.
BTW, I also did a flight of 80 minutes with 0.5 pre-release. Everything worked as expected.
Is anyone else getting a hard fail with both the G1000 mod (v3, renamed to be at top of Community list) and the new G36 v5 Master? My screens won’t light up at all.
EDIT: I may have had a slightly outdated dev version of the Master, as it didn’t have the z- prefix. However, redownload of both the G36 master and G1000 v3 still results in no pfd/mfd displays. Not just a display issue, since if I start running on the runway, I get none of those ATC comms like you normally would.
EDIT 2: Oops, I take that back; it IS a display issue. I can change comms via the ATC menu, pull up local ATIS and hear it, etc. SO, the avionics are working, I just have no screen display it seems.
seems fine my end had a weird bug where the pfd soft keys froze after loading an approach but couldn’t replicate it after restarting the flight. so all’s well to me. i discovered the bush league legends xcub g3x mod does not play well with the g1000 mod and breaks screens on about all ga aircraft so if you have that installed get it outta there
My Community folder is still empty for yesterday’s patch. Only things in there are the G1000 and the G36 mods. Weird, it’s sounding like it something on my end, but I have no idea what to check… I’ve changed nothing since flying the dev version of v5 immediately before the patch.
I found a bug on Version 0.5
on the Engine Page under System the GAL USED resets everytime i change the sites on the display, lets say i go to LEAN and then again back to SYSTEM than GAL USED is at 0.0 again.
Or should it be like that?^^
It looks like you don’t need BushLeague’s G3X mod any more; everythign is build into Working Title’s G1000 v0.3.0 now as long as you are using v1.4.3 of the XCub Performance Mod.
BuffyFoster - Looks like the G1000 mod I uploaded was from about 18 hours ago. I’ve checked their post in this forum for v3, but don’t see anything more recent; it all seems to point me to what I’ve already downloaded.
Ah, gotcha. I’m trying a reinstall of their mod, just in case I had a bad download or something.
Although, I’m now wondering if a recent Windows update messed something up … I keep getting warnings about the path length for a few files being too long that I never had before. I have a feeling it’s chopping files out of one or both mods. I really hate Win10 alot of the time.
