Definately the Modern Flight model - using the legacy model keeps you back in FSX world. There is much more fidelity in the Modern model and our mod is designed for it.
So you think your latest version is fine to be incorporated to the mod? Then a hotfix containing it could be prepared so not everyone has to do it manually and/or run into known issues.
sure thing
Thank you, @MrTommymxr!
@FrettFS: I created a PR to master for a hotfix, hope that is fine, otherwise please switch to the correct branch.
Contained is just the ai.cfg as provided by @MrTommymxr in this post:
Iâm confused as to why I keep hearing people using Legacy mode for Asobo aircraft⊠Whatâs up with that? And what Wiveâs tale are people being told?
Woops, I guess I spoke too soonâŠ
Itâs because, when you go through the flightmodel settings, you eventually see ârealisticâ
and the sliders on the modern flightmodel are greyed out
When I first started with the G36 and G1000 mods, I got blank PFD and MFD. I am on Windows and got a âfile name too long warningâ when I moved the G1000 to the community folder - but I did it anyway and got the blank screens. When I instead moved a shortcut to the G1000 mod to the community folder, everything lit up like it should!
One of two things are happening here then. Either the shortcut works, or it doesnât.
If you had it installed incorrectly before, and you havenât changed this, but merely use a shortcut, then it may still not be working for you. So I would check that the changes you expect to see are there.
The blank screens were caused by an older version of the mod that was correctly installed.
My Community folder looks like below:

Inside G1000 mod it looks like this:

anyone know how to stop the uncontrollable knob turning?
This is a wrong installation. The G36 mod should load after the WT G1000! That is why we put âz-â in the name. With this installation youâre missing the mods adjusted indications of voltage, load and fuel flow.
I realise what I did the last time I updated this. I forgot to transfer the folder inside the mod, but the whole thing! The âz-â prepended folder was inside that one. Oops!
Hey,
Could you guys put a readme file in the zip that has at least the version number? A summary of whatâs been done would be nice as well. And please update the manifest with the correct version.
How are we supposed to know whatâs what when we download the file? Or look at it in the content manager.
Thanks,
Tom
Is there a fix for âStuck to groundâ only seems to happen when you turn off the runway or start at a gate.
Cheers
Hi Tom
Weâre working on a full pilots operating handbook / manual in the experimental branch which has install instructions / version number / changelog etc. Its still WIP but worth downloading and having a look - of course any feedback would be great.
I had this the other day. I was doing circuits, testing log book entries for another thread. I had just taxied off the runway to a full stop, then found I couldnât move any more. What I noticed was the throttle didnât adjust when I moved my throttle lever. Prop, and mixture, worked perfectly, but throttle didnât move an inch.
I could however move it with the mouse, so I could take off, but as soon as I moved the throttle lever on my throttle quadrant, it dropped straight back to idle. I turned that USB port off then on again, I even checked the binding under controls, and there was no fault there.
Starting a new flight fixed it. I did not have to restart the sim though. Never seen that before, or since.
Cool, Iâll take a look.
Hi there, I have tried both this mod and the one on Nexusmods.com and am obviously doing something wrong. Canât get enough rpm to stay in the air. Increasing the rpm in the cockpit works for only a few seconds and it returns to its lower position. Can anyone help with this? Thanks
Try it without the mod and see if the issue is actually related to the mod or rather to some issue with your controls.
