IRL, I think an analog cockpit with one (or two) Garmin G5 is the best of both worlds. It would be nice to have some options in the sim.

The thing is, once you throw a G5 in there, the whole ‘analogue’ portion of the cockpit becomes nigh-on useless. The G5 is an enhanced attitude indicator which also shows your altitude, hPa setting, speeds, track, and ADAHRS functionality when two are put in. Don’t get me wrong, it’d be nice to see one, but personally if I want to fly an analogue aircraft, I tend to stay away from most things digital if possible.
It’s not uncommon. For redundancy and at the same time also related to certification benefits.
A lot of the planes I fly IRL have one or two G5s and honestly I prefer those to the G1000 ones. They are cheaper to rent and IMHO its much easier to follow an analogue altimeter, VSI and airspeed indicator.
Sooner or later the vacuum pump will disappear and the existing fleet of aircraft will use the G5 (or a similar substitute).
Would be nice to have that in the sim as well.

I love the G5. There is actually a nice freeware one for P3D. Maybe someone can find a way to use it in MSFS.
