Did you get it to work? Installation looks right. Ships & Ferries in settings should be between 5 and 10%. And then you obviously need to look in a place, where there are ships programmed to sail. A flight from Calais in France to the English coast near Dover should always have ships.
It works now thanks.
Removed everything, downloaded again and put the ships and ferries at 5%. It was 100% before.
Looks good and busy now during the test at Calais.
Does it matter if 5% or 10% are selected?
It gives slightly more with the 10%, Above 10% no change as I deliberately keept the 10% as a limit because above 10% some default traffic starts appears in funny places - e.g. 3 cruise ships “parked” in a star pattern between San Francisco and the Alcatraz island… The default traffic is preprogrammed to increase as you increase the traffic setting.
Henrik,
I still have the repaints of all the Great Lakes USCG icebreaker tugs and routes from P3D, if you want to include them with your Great Lakes release.
Joe
I would be happy to do that; If you could send me the file either in PM or to my mail before Friday it would be great. I intend to launch the Great Lakes update Saturday; just finalizing the last model:
S.S.Alpena built in 1942 but still active as cement freighter at the Great Lakes after 81 years of service and very soon also active in MSFS

Excellent news!! Had the great lakes addon awhile back. Lost it due to a hard drive crash. Thank you for adding another level of realism to the sim.
That does not very encouraging. Quite the opposite. Translates to me as: “the project is dead unless we are very, very lucky”.
Help me understand. Without Kpler support, are we only missing out on real time traffic? Is this correct? Gaist in its current state is still a pretty awesome addon.
Henrik,
I’ve sent the files to you at your Yahoo address.
Joe
Curious – with worldwide ship traffic coming in FS2024, have y’all contacted Asobo to see if there’s a ‘model matching’ equivalent for ships, so that you could use their traffic info to show your amazing model collection?
Well received
@Jigsaw407 don’t worry… We will get back on track…
@SanMan140579979 It is only real time which is missing, but we are actively investigating different routes and will be back soon on the real time. As I am travelling at the moment it takes a bit more time. Meanwhile we will first update the Great Lakes and next the preprogrammed GAIST.
@Editer Regards to 2024 we will see; it is still early.
Yep, just thought that reaching out to them earlier than later might be beneficial in having the FS2024 design perhaps accommodate your hard work vs them realizing it too late.
Hope this will be released
this is torture!
Kind of yes haha
I imagine Asobo will limit the amount of ships spawned for performance reasons.
