There is very few models in offline mode in the Suez canal so that is the reason. At some point I will redo that part. In the Med in general you should have a lot of traffic. However, if you go to multiple locations in one session you might see, that the traffic doesn’t load.
I’m having the same problem but it might be slightly different. For example, when I fly south out of WSAC which puts me in the Singapore Strait, I don’t see any GAIST ships. But if I reload the flight from the main menu, they fly I see some ships.
This also happens with the San Francisco bay.
I tried with an empty Community folder thinking there might be a conflict with no luck. I am not sure what the issue is or how to fix it.
Ups… I did actually clean most of the routes to avoid wind parks. I will take a look. And also test the Aida - it should have wake in offline mode if it is not stopped or taking a sharp turn.
I’m not jumping. This happens when I first start the sim and fly up the Singapore Strait. No ships. If I reload the same flight from the main menu, then I see ships
i have also experienced that it doesn’t load on a first flight in an area and next flight everything is there. It seems particularly to be an issue right after installing but I have no hard facts. When I have update the route files adding new routes, they also tend not always to show up on a first flight. I do jump from place to place to test and know for certain that this can kill the traffic after several jumps…
I see, thanks for the explanation hnielsen791. Then in my case when I tested Singapore the limited dataflow was indeed the issue as pretty much nothing was moving.
Am I doing something wrong here with the way I’ve set things up, or is there actually a real problem with FS24’s traffic system not having disabled all air traffic (and possibly sea traffic) when it should have? Is this because, even though everything is turned off except AI-Offline to allow GAIST to work, that is still causing aircraft to be injected? No wonder some people are struggling with performance.
Just to be clear, absolutely everything AI air traffic related is off, ships are Ultra and AI Online is set to offline only.
I want to say great thank you to Henrik Nielsen and Team for Global AI Ship Traffic add-on for making MSFS 2020 world more alive! Also the add-on helped me to create the scenary with helipads on different type of ships to land on long over water legs during around the world helicopter tour. It became a challenge every 30 minutes or an hour to land the new ship and let to fly over ocean less boring. My helipad scenary: Around the World Flight Helipads Pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS
Thanks again for all your work!
somehow everyone has a different issue - I see big ships - I mean relatively sparsely - but I don’t see a single leisure boat (except sporadically these big yachts) near the coast - especially in the Adriatic Sea - even if there is a harbour nearby - recently flew from LFMN - not a single boat in the water - settings - traffic online - sea traffic on Ultra - GAIST is in the community folder - additionally installed Seafront Vessels Core !
Unfortunately, the whole traffic - has been bugged since MSFS2020 - reported hundreds of times - but nothing has been changed - the same applies to parked static aircraft in MSFS24 - also already reported - can’t you just make a option there - without deactivating the whole airport traffic/vehicles/ground crews and the details? - so you have to understand this logic !
I’ve completely lost track of this post it is so long. My understanding is that GAIST can now be used in 2024. I use BATC for AI air traffic and have all default MS traffic (air and ships OFF). Am I right in thinking that boat traffic and ship traffic are linked so you have to have MS default AI AIR traffic ON to see GAIST ships?
If not, could someone please explain to me like I’m a 10 year old, how to switch off air traffic but enable GAIST boat traffic. The 2 things seem linked to me? I don’t mind if it is offline boat traffic, I just want to see some ships!!
Thanks, I know I’m being really thick but that settings screen shows AI live Air traffic switched on in FS2024? But then also switched off below. I don’t want live air traffic injected. Also, I am not using AIG for traffic I am using Beyond ATC. Is there a guide that shows GAIST working with BATC injected traffic?
Sorry for being so thick, I just can’t get my head around this for some reason.
Has anyone been able to quantify what the various Sea Traffic options do in Global Rendering Quality when it comes to GAIST traffic? My guess is that it further limits the amount of possible ship types but doesn’t actually change the visual fidelity of the ships as that seems to be mostly how Air Traffic settings behave, but haven’t done much testing myself.
