Don’t hold your breath waiting, @hnielsen791 has already said that there are some problems that need to be addressed. No timeframe given.
You missed half of the story afterwards, almost a week after your cited post, Henrik mentioned that:

I am patient, no worries. I am already totally happy with the version we have now, so need to hurry. My 10d comment above was meant funny, but I understand if people do not get the joke
Gaist makes the game freeze 9/10 right after clicking Fly on SU 8.

Weird I looked for the culprit for hours and for me that’s what causes the freeze.
I’ll try reinstalling it and report back.

Not on my end, even not as SU8 was still in Beta. I guess it’s something else buddy

Is it even working? I flew by Gibraltar and theres usually tons of ships because i have Seafront Sims add ons too but there seems to be only the seafront sim addon there…
Have to say, I’ve been wondering the same recently.
Where before I would have seen loads of Gaist ships I don’t think I’m seeing virtually any. I flew into Venice the other day and saw 1 ship.
Really odd.
I was flying around the Maui County islands in Hawaii earlier and saw a fair few ships puttering about.
Plenty of ships to see if you look in busy places like between UK and France for example.
Try this app, it can show positions of AI ships.

Yes, I can confirm that I had the same issue like yours. When I unlink the Global Ship AI, no more freeze when click „FLY NOW“ for me, and I can now spawn at any 3rd airports.
It is weird because right after SU8 I have no problem with freezes, and I see full of Global AI ships, but not see a single AIG aircraft. And since I had freeze 9/10 flights when click „Fly Now“ for last two days, I removed AI Ships as your suggest, no more freeze and I can now fly and see full of AiG aircraft esp. at KLAS.
There may be a conflict between AI traffics since SU8. Thank you again for your solution from other thread.
It was the issue for me, the same issue as @Flobud

Might be a conflict between AIG and GAIST then maybe. No issues with GAIST on my side either, and I’m not using AIG.
I have both AIG and Gaist. AIG is performing but I don’t think Gaist is…
Like I said, could be that AIG conflicts with GAIST.
