I was flying around northern Japan today (near Sapporo), with Gaist Asia routes enabled, but didnt see any ships at all. Are there no routes modelled there?
To be totally fair, we have been given the option of opening a new thread should we so wish.
To be honest, I was in fact half thinking of doing just that but then decided against it for a number of reasons ![]()
The mods are trying to keep stuff on topic. Itās more than fair.
Here you goā¦
This has nothing to do with āsafe spacesā. Itās about keeping the thread on topic.
no offical feedback so far, but it was reported in time so it might be fixed in SU12, time will tell ![]()
Very few; I actually did some routes there a few weeks back as we will introduce the Japanese Navy in the next update, so there is hope for next time. But honestly I have little - letās be honest, no - knowledge of the area and didnāt know there was a major harbor so it was forgotten so farā¦
Knud and I have found a trick, so if Asobo doesnāt solve it we can at least reintroduce the river traffic we had in FSX/P3D.
Now thatās interesting news!
We still have work to do, but we have a working demo on the Mississippi. Unless we manage to get it over and working also with the Real Time version it will in the first place be a limited number of rivers, but letās see. The best would still be that Asobo fixes the bug.
Reading the global ground elevation and place the AI injected traffic on that Z positon?
Edit: I indeed ment injected traffic.
No, we will finalize testing to be sure it works and then tell. The above I donāt think would work with a bgl file and the ai traffic engine, but it could maybe work with the injected ships.
i finally installed V3 ā¦I know there is suppose to be more ships but in Miami I see only a few. There used to be more ships, including cruise ships.
Anyway, question, where do I put the bgl traffic folders? Can they be put in the main file ?
Hi Kitty,
Not sure what you mean by the main file. All of the folders go in the community folder, but you only need to put in the region folders where you fly if that makes sense?
Anotherthing off in the new version I got is ship times. It used to be you can control what you see by changing in game time but it isnt working for me. Trying it with cruise ship in Venice.
whst have you got the slider set to? There have been some issues with all AI since the last update
you are not the only one experiencing this. You need to go all the way out of the sim to make a time change affect the traffic - it is like that since the last update. I do not know if it is something they implemented to reduce loading stress, but while it doesnāt affect normal operation if you just go for a flight to see random traffic it is at least annoying for me when I want to test the traffic. We described the issue further up this thread as it eg affects when you want to see some of the inbuilt events like the start of a tall ship race. Earlier you could just switch time back and forth during a flight and the traffic would rebuild according to the new time but not so for the moment.
Global AI Ship Traffic V3.0 is now available also from flightsim.com:
For the moment you will see Nelsā name as uploader, but that is simply because I am travelling and had no chance to upload myself so I asked him to do it for me. Flightsim.com has by the way hosted other Global AI Ship Traffic versions since the start of the project in 2013 and I am happy to see that they are giving their user interface an overhaul ![]()
And⦠well today Global AI Ship Traffic celebrates 10 years anniversary.
This was the first public announcement of the project on the French website www.pilote-virtuel.com The thread it was announced in is still alive with more than 900.000 page views. You can find it here and follow the whole history of the project from day 1:
Seems like a lifetime ago. Congratulations on keeping it going for so long and continually improving and updating it. It really is fantastic.
