Game crashing when in the new detailed world map

Cannot get passed the world map without crashing. This is after the new update.

This is so stupid… I’m now uninstalling everything and trying to reinstall but I know it won’t work. They need to fix this ASAP

Check memory usage? Shut down anything not needed, also remove any addons temporarily.

I’ve followed the steps the entire day, no add ons are in the community folder I even deleted all of them. Uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game. Still CTD… I was running this game last night perfectly then this update hit and now it CTD. Nothing else is running I even tried shutting down explorer. Nvidia game boost is on as well

Go to

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\FlightSimulator

Delete all files and folder.
Run sim.

Try.

Turn off online services, save changes and exit to desktop.

Go to

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\FlightSimulator

Delete all files and folders.
Run sim and click world map.

If everything is ok - turn on online services and save changes.

This is exactly like happens here, same when I click Fly (ex: to try the Discovery Tours).

Dude! im having the same issue. i uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game. cleared community folder etc. so frusterating. whats going on? any fixes yet???

Nothing and no word from the devs. I’ve tried everything in the book with zero success. I have given up for now until they send a patch

Im in the same boat. could run the game great on ULTRA. this game has been so wonderful up until this last update. I miss flying! CTD everytime i open the game. its too bad i hope they release a hotfix that actually works soon. what a mess!

One thing I noticed in my world map and on this video is that instead of showing ‘zoom’, it shows a code (imput something).

I agree it’s very weird but even after 4 clean reinstalls and obviously uninstalls it remains the same… not sure if it’s because I downloaded the sim on Steam but everything I have tried does not work…
