I am encountering a very anoying issue which makes playing impossible.
Everytime the game gains focus it freezes. On the other hand, every time it looses focus, the game continues.
When I press for example the windows key on my keyboard, the game resumes, but I am not in game focus. When I get back to the game, the game freezes.

You can clearly see, that if the focus is lost, the game resumes.
I tried everything, going into windowed mode, reinstalling, switching windows with ALT + TAB, but no luck so far 
Do you have some ideas?

CPU i7-6700k
GPU RTX 3070
RAM 32 GB 2133 Mhz

I had this problem with Forza Horizon 4 as well (MS Store game too). I think it has something to do how the MS Store launches the game or so. I also reinstalled Forza, but no change at all.
I flipped out and reinstalled my entire Windows system and now it works.
It’s sad that this had to be done. Why is reinstalling Windows the solution for everything (and how the f is this a “solution” at all?).
Of course, reinstall the entire system, when a small config problem is maybe the issue. You can also kill a fly with a flamethrower and burn your house down.
Never happens on Linux…
I was having this issue with several MS Store games.
Running DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)–make sure to run it in safe mode–then reinstalling a fresh display driver cured this problem for me.
Just throwing this out there for anyone googling this page like I did. I didn’t need to reinstall Windows.
