I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoy FS2020; great game and I’ve had decent performance from release up to this last week. But lately I’m getting intermittent crashes to the desktop after 1-6 hours of gameplay. Sometimes it’s triggered if I access the VFR map outside the plane (external camera mode) while flying, other times it happens right after a small stutter, then a freeze, then crashes to desktop?
This has happened at least 4-5 times over the last 8 -9 days or so.
My computer is fully capable of running the game at high to ultra high settings; Intel i9 9900K cpu, 32 gigs of ram, Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 Super with 8 gigs vram, and a 1TB Samsung M.2 NVME SSD. All the drivers are up to date and the latest Win 10 64bit updates, etc.
I’m pretty patient and realize all new games have bugs, etc that will get worked out over time. But this needs to get resolved and I’m not spending any more money in the market for new planes, etc until there’s some resolution through Asobo and Microsoft. Uninstalling Windows and reinstalling is a band-aid fix that doesn’t address the root of the problem. I know other players are experiencing similar problems from looking over previous posts. This game has ENORMOUS potential and will only get better as time goes on. I have the DXdiag file if it’s needed. Also I checked Windows “Event Viewer” and saw “App crash faults” attached to FS2020 executable.
Microsoft and Asobo please help. Thank you…
