Brief description of the issue:
Game loads up to a point. The blue progress bar goes all the way to the right. Then it is stuck on the scene below. On reboot it notifies my the last session did not load properly and do I want to start up in the safe mode or not. (tried both ways) then nearly 90% of the blue status bar it will tell me I do not have enough bandwidth for photogrammetry. The option is turn off photogrammetry or ignore. (tried both ways). Nothing helps.
I loaded the beta 2 weeks ago and it did the exact same thing.
But back then I could roll back the beta to SU7 and all was good again. I have pulled all the peripherals. Remove the community folder.
Basically I have done everything you are going to ask me to do in your canned response.
I have reloaded the game 5 times. Erased all the FS2020 folders 3 times. The game just locks up at the end of this screen and in the task manager the game is loading the CPU and GPU at about 30%.

Same. This post is from 2022. I guess no one can or wants to help. Microsoft has an enemy now. Trying to get my organization to get away from a company who hates their customers. Just sell a game that people can play. Is it that hard?
As fs2020 can be a bit difficult with its habits, may I respectfully suggest using a pc dedicated to just the simulator with all OS and FS updates applied and keeping that community folder free of rubbish!
I know most of us cannot afford to run two high end PC’s but if you are one of those who can, then please go ahead.
I was able to resolve this problem by unhooking my ethernet cable and using WIFI instead. This did help another person fix the exact same problem. Most likely it is something in the router but it was beyond me to correct it. So to this day ever thing loads and runs good but only If I use WIFI…
This is not a PC problem only. XBOX is a gaming dedicated system and the problem also occurs. On XBOX the user can’t do anything in order to “clean” the system.
Hello everyone,
I just had to join this forum to make this one statement:
I have had every version Of MS flightsim and never had a single problem.
Until now.
I downloaded X-plane 12 demo, and started playing around with it.
I had to get a new video card just to run it.
I started reading comparisons of X-plane and FS2020, but there is no demo
for MSFS. So, I joined Xbox Game Pass, and took 3 or 4 hrs downloading FS.
The Graphics were better then X-plane and except for a couple of weird
momentary screen freezes, it ran perfect. Until about the fifth time I opened
it up. Then it wouldn’t load, and I got this “third party” stuff with the two
choices “save mode or normal” error window. And no matter which one
I picked it just kicked out back to the desktop. I hadn’t even started to enjoy
flying and sure hadn’t loaded any “Third party” planes or scenery.
A computer game is about having fun not about being a programmer!
If I want to fly around and have fun not “sudo” this and that.
I’m using Win11 not ubuntu.
Glad I only spent $1.08 for a month of Game Pass to find out what a
piece of undeveloped â– â– â– â– Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 is.
Don’t waste your money, get X-plane 12, and have fun honey
