Hi there, I am curious if it’s normal for the Gaming Services to update itself? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA
Gaming services seems to frequently update. Since it’s a service used by more than just MSFS, I guess that’s to be expected. Fortunately, it’s a small update each time, and just overwrites the previous version, so it’s not taking up more and more space on your system.
I only remember one version of gaming services that gave this community an issue, and it was resolved pretty quickly.

P.S. I turned off auto updates in the store, since I like to know when it’s going to be updating something and I don’t like finding out after the fact. But if you’ve got auto update on, it will happen pretty quickly and shouldn’t really affect anything you’re doing at the time it downloads.

I’ve had things auto-updating for at least 5 years and not only never even noticed the process was happening, but never noticed any problem with Game Services afterwards either. Totally transparent to the user, with no ill effects.
If only every Windows and driver update was as benign.
