Gaming UI will not allow game to start, unable to sync with cloud

Brief description of the issue:

Gaming UI will not allow game to start, then it goes to the start page and askes to insert the Game Disk… On a downloaded software?? Sometimes it says "Something Went Wrong then States an error code 0x80072ee2

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Start from icon - start screen starts and says “syncing” - white message appears and says UI syncing 0%, stays there for some time then says “unable to sync”, then waits a while and then main screens appear and it then asks me to put the CD into the drive.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Win 11 Nvidia G3070 Graphics
