the “optimization” feature is useless as it seems to just go for quantity (more frame rates) vs quality. You’ll be getting more FPS but with very low settings, low quality.

Don’t touch it

You can press the icon and adjust a slider telling GeForce Experience the extent it should optimize for either Performance or Quality.
