General aviation live traffic non-existent in MSFS?

Hi

Lately I’m flying mostly GA aircraft, I normally takeoff from medium sized regional airports, not big international airports.

As I have ground aircraft density set to zero I’m finding the airports quiet, as in Im the only aircraft.
It’s fine with ground density set to zero at international airports as live traffic fills these up quick at the gates.

Is GA live traffic, non existent in MSFS, or just not as well implemented compared to airliner traffic?

I’m on Xbox by the way.

Seems to be an issue:

Thanks what I don’t understand is I believe MSFS live traffic is implemented using flightaware, I look at that website and can see that it tracks smaller aircraft as well,
So why does it not show these in the sim.

I believe they filter out traffic that doesn’t have a complete route (origin/destination). Many GA flights will be VFR, so they’ll be filtered out immediately. Probably more stuff like that going on.

If you want, you can get FSLTL from the FBW installer, they’re currently adding GA flights, and I’ve seen quite a few already.

I fly strictly GA, and mostly from smaller municipal / regional / executive airports. Outside of the occasional IFR flight by some smaller turboprop like a King Air, TBM or Pilatus, I never really see any GA traffic.

Same thing in flight. 95+% of traffic is airliners, and it’s very rare to see a GA plane.

I’m on PC, but it makes no difference. Xbox and PC see the same levels of traffic.

Thanks everyone, explains things very well.

Im on xbox, so what you mention I don’t think is possible for me.

I seemed to have more luck seeing GA flights with AI Offline instead of Online. Granted, it’s not perfect but I was impressed to see native reg’s flying about. Not so impressed with a Skyhawk IFR’ing from EGNH to KBOS though…
