ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
I have just tried flying the PILATUS… got a warning through flight that i was too high and needed oxygen… Turned oxygen on… 30sec later that awful ‘bang and crash’ sound with some message in orange on a screen. Next thing I am (i was 200mile from dest) 10mile from dest at 30,000 feet. I started circling to lose height. ‘bang crash’ again ‘too far from course’ error or something. Also when flying this aircraft using AutoThrottle, once at altitude the revs rise and fall quickly and repeatedly with an orange caution light… Only thing i could do was get it into manual mode and reduced throttle. Coming in to land with an apparent speed of 90knots… looked like and felt like i was doing 200!!! Also barometer DOES NOT WORK! set alt at 29,000 and change the baro setting to what ATC said, the plane settles, i still do not get the green text check for ‘climb to 29,000’ ALSO, coming in to land (and this is good for most of the ATC interactions with any plane and flight) i lowered my gear; ‘warning we didnt lower the gear captain’… i mean for goodness sake, non of these make ANY sense! Regular ATC errors are (ones you get penalised for which is infuriating) you read the ATC interactions and needs and you comply 100% with them all. You acknowledge landing instructions etc, you then land and yes you get penalised for landing wihtout authority!
So many other bugs generally and with other planes and systems:
- give us some way of changing from HG to QNH and please make it work properly with the atimiter etc.
- the synthetic boxes on the mfd.pfd generally bear no relation to the flight plan (magenta line), if you fly on one it may be the right one and not earn you penalties; on the other hand even when you do follow either or of them you get ridiculous penalties at end of mission for 'not following taxiway/flight path.
- Cessna Grand Caravan: I tried to fly this yesterday on a long cargo flight (medium diff) almost near the TOD and thinking it hadnt been too bad when suddenly (yep) ‘bang crash’ orange warning/error flaps speed exceeded… i didnt touch them!
The graphics are beautiful. The gameplay (ie the ideas of gameplay) is spot on. BUT the sim is so fundamentally broken in so many ways it is miserable to play and currently complete tosh… The flight models are generally poor to rubbish. The glass cockpits are bad, bad bad; yesterday in the Grand Caravan the speed just stopped working and only started again after i landed…
Thanks. Rant over. I hope you start fixing the fundamental issues with this game/sim please.
