Clouds on ultra gives me fps drops when panning, going from cockpit view to external vv. Clouds on high the frame rate doesn’t drop. Steam overlay has a nice frame rate low/high, gpu, cpu, temps, etc with graphs. Steam>options>in game [Schermafbeelding 2026-03-01 144542]

Is it me or is interior lighting for (some?) legacy (MSFS2020) aircraft pretty much broken in the current beta? Doing a test flight in the MV310, only the upper half of round gauges is illuminated, the flood light is flickering once per second, the ambient light sensor that controls avionics bright…

It’s one of the bugs caused by a regression in this latest beta that affects MSFS 2020 packages. They said in the dev forum it will be fixed in version 1.7.9.0.

How is everyone finding the beta? Worth getting into? Autogen buildings and terminals with no windows addressed? Wasn’t a new beta released 3 hours ago? Can’t find any release notes.

I tried two SU5 beta versions, for one test flight each, and the best I can say about them is that, both times, opting out of the beta didn’t cause any issues and felt like getting a nice performance boost. SU4 gives me nice, consistent, smooth performance everywhere I fly (VR, 9950x3d, 4090). Giv…

Anyone knows why some of the settings are not saved? I deactivated the annoying static aircraft at the airports, but each time this setting is enabled again.

When is the next beta update coming out?

MSFS 2020 SU16.1 final release was earlier today. Maybe you saw something about that.

I started a new 2024 session a couple of hours ago and it was still SU5 Beta 1.7.7.0 which released 10 days ago.

No new release notes since then. Here’s the latest:
