Generated aircraft registrations are incorrect for Germany

:white_check_mark: ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  1. Description of the issue:
    In the MSFS2024 career system, aircraft registrations (“Luftfahrzeugkennzeichen”) for aircraft registered in Germany are created by adding random letters and digits to a “D-” prefix.
    The “D-” prefix is correct, but, in Germany, the first letter after the dash cannot be random, it is based on the aircraft classification and provides information about the type of aircraft, propulsion, and MTOW.
    For example: all Luftfahrzeugkennzeichen for a Cessna 152 or 172 (ie. fixed-wing, single-engine, <2t) must start with “D-E” (as in “D-EFKD”), all Luftfahrzeugkennzeichen for a Twotter (ie. fixed-wing, multi-engine, MTOW between 2 and 5.7t) must start with “D-I” (as in “D-ISCO”), etc.
    Most aircraft categories can only have letters (no digits) in their Luftfahrzeugkennzeichen, this includes hot air balloons and powered gliders.
    Only unpowered gliders get digits, and always four of them: D-1234.

why do we have to vote for an obvisoius bug?

Additonal to the obvious error: please let us save fix registrations to aircraft and each livery of that aircraft. No random numbers

Because it helps the forum mods to prioritize important bugs. I wouldn’t even call this a bug, it’s an issue that affects realism and immersion. At this point in time, there are much bigger fish to fry. :smiley:

German Aircraft in missions very often have wrong registraions.
Like this:

German civil aircraft (except gliders) never have a number in the registration.
They are always like this:

D-EGKH

D - for germany
E - the class of aircraft:
GKH - random letters

the “E” represents the class of aircraft.
Here is
A - Aircraft above 20t
B - Aircraft 14 - 20t
C - Aircraft 5.7t - 14t
E - single engine prop below 2 tons like C172
F - single Engine 2t - 5.7t
G - Multi Engine below 2t
H - Helicopter
I - Multi Engine 2t - 5.7t
K - motorized gliders
L - Blimp or Zeppelin
M - Microlight aircraft below 600kg, like CTLS, VL-3, Virus plane
O - Balloons

At least it would be nice, not to have numbers in the registration!

would like to see this fixed. It’s really odd to see, that this is completely made-up.
