Genuine question what is the auto pilot problem?

I plan in little navmap mostly vor/dme to vor/dme
then select airport of destination.
Having selected that I select an approach for the runway I want to use.
I attach that approach to the flightplan.
I print in little navmap the flightplan (summary page only)
That gives me all the VOR beacons and the heading to intercept localiser and glideslope.
Also approach altitude. I fly that but do not load it in FS which means I have to do all the flying, heading changes, VOR radials etc.
Now this method has never failed. It also gives me plenty to do as a pilot.
but I guess many will consider this old fashioned flying while some will consider it real flying.
Personal preference I guess. FMC is a mystery to me but I think it is clear to me that the actual autopilot operation in the planes, when used as I do, works well.
As someone said, in the end the autopilot is only as good as the info it is given.
Rubbish in means rubbish out I guess.
