When loading the bush trip “ Germany’s coasts and the rhine”, leg 9 from ETMN, the airplane is loaded on top of a building. It then immediately crashes.
How can I continue the bush trip properly?
I have flown the previous leg (to ETMN) successfully, stopping on the runway, setting the brakes and switching off the engine to complete the leg, and pressed Continue to run the next leg. Different from other bush trips, the plane does not continue from the spot where I left it, but instead puts it on top of a building.
I am experiencing the same issue that I reported to support. I assume the issue comes from the latest update that added buildings. Here, the starting point of the leg 9 is now occupied by a hangar, hence the collision.
HI Mate, put it into developer mode, go to tools, telepot, teleport to airport then punch in ETMN then teleport and you will be put on the ground on a parking stand. Good Luck.
Same issue. Very frustrating as I was enjoying this trip I tried to uninstall and reinstall the content and it put me at the same spot stuck in the building. At this point I just did a different Rhine trip to get my fix but it’s very frustrating not being able to to skip the leg
Pausing the session and teleporting to ETMN in Dev Mode did the trick. However, the aircraft was 23 ft from the ground after teleporting. Dropping it fails! So, in active pause mode I set the throttle to maximum, flaps to maximum and when releasing the pause I kept the plane level with the stick/yoke. Then at the ground, I braked maximum and set throttle to minimum to stop. Then a “refuel and repair” (set to key CTRL-SHIFT-F in my case) to repair the damage.
I’m not sure if this will work since you’re starting on a building, but pause the session as quickly as you can. Get your plane started and flaps set to takeoff. Now, use the in-game panel to adjust the weather to give yourself a 70kt headwind. When you un-pause, you should immediately start gaining altitude. Once you get to a safe altitude, slowly lower the wind speed to something normal and start navigating to the end of the leg.
I was able to teleport since I’m on PC, but this is the procedure I used to prevent crashing into the ground. Good luck
Took me a couple of goes to get it right - had to gain enough height so that when I adjusted the wind back to something sensible and lost the airspeed I could recover from the stall, but once I figured that out…. perfect!
It is possible to activate collision damage in the options. This allows you to take off at full throttle from the roof and avoid a crash if you hit the stalls too hard. A tip especially for Xbox users.
