Why does this happen? it’s anoying as heck just the intense shaking. Happens in all helis or most of them, i fly taog 500c the most and this happens when its windy weather.
Also helicopters for some reason often get stuck on helipads and rpm goes extremely high. At particular helipads, like near water.
I’ve never had this problem.
Check the bindings, especially the one controlling the motor power.
Helicopters do shake, but it sounds like yours is excessive. Any chance you could record a video and post it?
The only one I know with massive shaking is the (free) Taogs Huey.
Posted it there in the thread, unfortunately no solution. Unflyable for me due to that.
Other helis are fine to me.
I fly primarily helicopters - do not have this problem. Huey shakes a bit but so does the real Huey.
Same with me, I find the Huey shake quite realistic and love flying it.
In the new HH-65A you can set the amount of vibration via the tablet on the centerconsole.
Oh, I think you can in Toag’s Huey also. I think there is something at the base of the cyclic, but I don’t remember.
But not with the free Huey version as far as I know.
The shaking is very annoying, you can also see the tail going slightly up/down in external view, which seems to be causing the issue.

If you want to discover what i mean about being sucked in to helipad, there is a single helipad in the Fiordland National Park in New Zealand, i rekon because it always happens 2 me, if you try take off from that you will see what i mean. It might have some thing 2 do with the fact its a platform on the water. Happens also at another place near the ocean in wellington often.
It happens in all helicopters some worse then others, ONLY in windy weather except the free ambulance helicopter does it ALL the time when taking off and other times. Some times its fine and just a little reaslitic shaking here and there, but some times its just full on like the helicopter is about to blow apart for no good reason because of shaking and its visibly anoying and unpleasent when it happens excessivly and i always QUIT THE SIM because its not enjoyable at al.
Its not easy to record because its random tired yesterday but couldnt get it to happen much, but iv found it mainly happens in reasonbly windy weather
You can only fly with out this happening in mostly calm weather, 500c taog is what i fly the most.
From the WWW…Effective Translational Lift (ETL): As the helicopter gains forward speed and moves out of its own turbulent hovering downwash, the rotor system briefly enters cleaner air. This can cause a temporary shudder or vibration that smooths out as airspeed increases.
I have not experienced this behaviour in FS2020 or FS2024. What else is running on your system when this happens? Just curious…
I don’t know how its not really known, wellington is the windiest city in the world, that might be why for some reason i get it alot around there when its windy. It’s like its a bug or some thing and the wind sends the heli in to a fit like its gonna blow apart. Im not talking about the reaslitic little shaking here and there or when you would expect it. I am talking about cruising along at normal speeds and you get that.
Another example of wind or some thing like that bugging the helicopter is that helipad i mentioned already, if you go there most of the time you get sucked on to the helipad or able to take off extremely easy.

Shaking starts around 0:35. it will last a much longer time s depending on direction, if i continued in that one direction it would probably continue. Video just uploaded so might need to wait a bit for quality. Also this is just a qucik rough video to show the vibration not trying to fly nicely AT ALL
This video is not a good example because i changed diection, that intense shaking woulkd have continued non stop if i didnt change direction most likely. SO just imagine when its at its most intense at that video, that continues for alot longer if not flyting in circle.
Looking at the waves in the bay, it appears that the winds were quite strong when you were flying. The shaking occured when you were approaching the forested slope / cliff. I wonder if the shaking is related to potential updrafts / downdrafts by the slope?
Pure speculation, but if you reproduced the flight with the clear skies preset & the shaking still occured, at least that would rule out the possibility that weather was a contributing factor.
You could also turn on Airflow Visualization in the Flight Interface to see what is going on around your aircraft at the time of the shaking:
The winds were definitely strong. It would have been best if i kept flying in that one direction because you would see it just continues non stop which is extremely unpleasent and soon as it happens i just exit sim because i only ever fly in LIVE weather.
This only happens in windy weather.
It’s very anoying and impossible ( unless you like that feeling of heli about to come apart for long periods ) to fly in windy weather when this is happening. It’s not natural or normal.
