I will be away from my computer for several months. When I do start fs2020 back up I’m sure there will be numerous updates/patches/etc. Should I be looking for incremental updates or simply let the auto updater do it’s thing? I ask because, sometimes, the latest software updates rely on previous patches etc.

Always check Windows 10 Updates first. If any, restart your PC.
Next, MS Store updates, if any restart your PC.
Then Graphic Card driver updates. Restart your PC.
Then MSFS.
