In December I re-engined my 'pit with a new HP OMEN 45L PC. All good thus far.
However since re-connecting all the controllers I’ve been plagued by random key presses which activate the comms menu, presumably with a key press of “1”.
This makes the flights rather “not enjoyable” as the ATC gets busy on me all throughout the flight. Press the “1” key randomly during your flight and you’ll see what I mean.
I’m posting this here after a good month now of fruitlessly googling, sorry “bing-ing” : < ) for answers.
My parts list is pretty much mid-range in complexity. Not running SPAD or the likes, for example.
Parts list here
TIA for any suggestions!

Hi there
I’ve got a HP 45L too, i’ve been using for two years so our actual setup might differ a bit (I’m on a i9-13k / rtx4090).
So far, my only (although big) concern with this machine has been usb ports. They’ve put me in a lot of troubles, with the PC refusing to start (at the first electric / electronic steps) or strange error at the OS (Windows 11) level. Over the years, I’ve narrowed it to some defectuous USB ports, some of the front, some at the back.
I’d totally look into that way. I have plugged in a self-powered usb hub (16 ports) to reduce as much as possible the number of “original ports” I use on the machine itself (I use streams decks, FCU, a external sound card, three joysticks and two throttles,… that’s a lot of usb usage, even if not all of them are plugged all the time).
Cheers,
K.

Hi K.,
Thanks for your reply!
Yes I’m on the i9-14900K / rtx 4080, so a similar rig. Love the power and quietness of the build.
I’m using a Wenter powered USB hub to make updating firmware easier (no need to climb around the back) and actually now it makes troubleshooting easier.
My USB ports seem OK, but I will do another session turning off USB devices and now I think of it… Joy2Key may be a suspect too.
