Is there a manual available for us to look at before we buy the aircraft?
The manual will be available for download from our website early next week.
We’ll also release a comprehensive tutorial covering all aircraft systems - including engine management, fuel system, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the fully functional autopilot.
Yes, we’re a bit late with the manual release, agreed, but we’ll fix that very soon.
In the meantime, I can recommend a detailed overview video about the B-52H Stratofortress made by real B-52 pilots.
Getting to Know the B-52H: Exterior, Cockpit & Systems Explained
Thank you, will you include the website in you post here that the manual is available. when I was a kid I lived on an air force base that had B-52’s. They were a wonder to watch take off and land. I also remember the flashing lights on the streets when they scrabled.
so the textures are great as in the fb111. night lighting in the cockpit is quite nice.
however, the cockpit 3d model has a glaring bug–the distance between the bottom the instrument panel and the floor looks like it’s only 30cm, not enough space to access the pedals. when used in VR, this looks quite bad.
i know GKS’ past track record on fixing bugs isn’t good, but hopefully they can fix something like this, this time around.
Yes, it does give that impression. At first, we also thought the distance seemed too short, but it’s most likely due to the size of the main instrument panel - it’s very large, and the rudder pedals are big as well. That combination creates this visual effect.
All I can say is that the model was built according to the real B-52 cockpit dimensions.
But, we will check this point in VR to be sure.
Please also check wing flex and gear on left wing that doesn’t touch the ground. No wing flex on left wing with all three liveries. Thanks
Please do something with that default 747 sounds ASAP!!!
It’s unlistenable, it has nothing to do with the sound of the TF33 engine.
Otherwise the model is very nice, but the sounds make it unusable.
Especialy for that price point!
I must say that although there are minor things to address I am very happy with the B52. It looks fantastic inside and out. Flying in VR is amazing.
As a friendly reminder, this thread is for General Discussion of the Aforementioned Product (Golden Key Studios B-52).
We are starting to see technical support and Voice of the Customer Feedback interactions occurring in this thread. Such interactions are not allowed per Microsoft Flight Simulator Forum rules. Please take those interactions directly to the manufacturer’s channels, a screencap of which is below.
Let’s keep this thread as intended. Thanks.
As other said, except for minor things (in my opnion), it’s a wonderful and very well done module. I’m biased because the BUFF is my favorite aircraft of all time, hehe. Finally a good B-52 in MSFS (last one for me was Captain Sim in Prepar3D, not that bad for the time). Flying in VR is amazing and AAR… wow!
It’s seems all the people wants smoke. Perhaps could be an “on off” setting in the cockpit, because I’m thinking of the loss of FPS in VR. Talking about performance, I use to fly with screens off, fps goes 5 or 6 down when I turn on, and this is already a very complex cockpit.
But again, Im loving to fly this aircraft (and F-111, btw). Keep the good work! ![]()
your links do not work.
They aren’t links. That’s a screencapture of the manufacturer’s profile on another Store - it’s a picture. You have to hand-type the links in manually.
lol. i can tell a difference between a picture and http link.
it took over 2 min for the domain address to resolve.
I would send an e-mail to the studio if you’re concerned. I just provide the information - I don’t guarantee their Quality of Service connection.
You may wish to check your own connection to the Internet if that’s the case. I typed in by hand the address to the main website and it’s not cached, I’ve never been there before and loaded in less than ten seconds.
Check out the engine smoke effect on the B-52H!
The feature will be available in the upcoming MSFS2020 update.
This short clip highlights the realistic smoke coming from the engines.
Nice adition! And thanks for making it a clickable option ![]()
Smoke looks good! I see the options menu label is on the glare shield. That breaks immersion to have it right in the line of sight like that from the pilot’s seat. The more realistic option, of course, would be to have it as a little tablet or notepad tucked into a pocket or along the seat/floor. I realize that’s a lot of work for not a lot of return though, so the simpler option would be to move it off to the side - perhaps to the pilot’s left. Hope you’ll consider that.
Wing flex is a known issue in 2024 and possibly 2020. Which sim are you using?
