Glassout - No more Pop Out Panel

Yes, there is a native 2024 version of BS Duke. I bought the 2020 version from Just flight and the 2024 version is available for download under my orders.

Thanks! I will check out for an update in the marketplace where I bought it from.

Yesterday my problem of Glassout not discovering the TDS GTNXi 750 was solved. Today it doesn’t discover the 750 again. Thought it was fixed but some bug or conflict is still there. Sent logs to developer to let him know.

I understand why some user may want to remote the displays but for most users it’s really not required. The performance hit on the main machine is not a big deal so this becomes hardly worth the extra expense and complexity.

So I have tried running Glassout numerous times and it always results in MSFS CTD with an error message about the GPU driver. The CTD happens within about a minute of the flight starting so just after I enter the cockpit and I’ve started Glassout and am beginning to select the screens to move them to my side monitors. I have tried several nvidia drivers (the latest one from a few days ago and a prior one). This happens across the Fenix a320 and Asobo aircraft. The only other add-ons I am using are Chaseplane and FlowPro. My next steps are to disable Chaseplane and test again to try and isolate what is causing the CTD. Without glassout everything runs perfectly. I’ll test more and also send a report to there developer with the exact steps, aircraft, add-ons, etc.

Pretty impressive so far.

Obviously your hardware will have some say in what you can achieve. So, I strongly suggest that you invest in an AI as your current problem will be resolved quite quickly.

No idea what you are suggesting. I’m on a 9950x3d/5090/96gb system, with a smaller 2nd GPU given the number of screens I am running. AI searching has nothing to do with this problem. There is simply a conflict somewhere with the add-ons I am running where that specific combination is unique to me whereas other users are not having thr problem.

There seems to be a problem using 2 GPUs. Give it a try und disable the 2. and start again for a short test.

I get a virus warning on the download (using Microsoft Defender) and the file is removed immediately after download, even if I urge it to “Keep” the file.

Got it somehow working for 1 day. Was a bit bumpy but at least it worked. Now today it does recognize some views – I do not need, but this does confirm it does somehow work.
Anyhow I was not able to get the GTN750 or GTN650 (PMS) working in the Caravan. Despite had them working the other day.

With the Bo105 the EFB does sometimes show up, sometimes not. Same for the GTN750.
Just not reliable.

Will wait and see how this does progress. The Idea is promising. Right now it is not reliable enough for my taste.
Especially given all the hassle with the Sim itself already.

EDIT: Just to be clear, it is a Beta and my post is not to complain, it is more to document that I and maybe other might have issues with these specific Airframes.
Still belief this will be a great tool when it becomes reliable!

Is it possible to get two views onto an Android tablet? I could get any of the touch panels from the Vision Jet displaying and working perfectly, but couldn’t suss out how to display two side by side.

If you are having trouble with Glassout discovering some of your glass panels, be sure to send a message to the developer so he knows what needs to be fixed.

Contact@flyingart.dev He was very resonsive to me, however it didn’t seem to be a permanent fix.

If you got to settings in Glassout there is a place to send the logs to him. That may help him.

The Android app just brings in a single instrument.

However, if you use Spacedesk to make the tablet into a second monitor (which I had been doing to drag over the GTN prior to Glassout), then you can drag multiple instruments onto the tablet.

You can create a template with 1-n views.

Just checked the Black Square TBM 850 with TDS GTNXi 750 Pro and it was discovered in Glassout. Seems to be ready to build a profile with it. Glad it is fixed, hope it stays that way.

GlassOut with AirPanel (a free alternative for AirManager)

I stumbled upon this a few days ago and decided to give it a try.

MSFS 2024
Asobo C172 G1000
Touchscreen (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006082042310.html). Doesn’t say Zeus anywhere on the screen :-). But works.

All the buttons/knobs responds to touch on my touchscreen.

G1000 panel is in the Samples folder once you installed AirPanel. Just open the panel via the file explorer. Right Click anywhere on the panel → Connect.

Happy flying!

Ok, I could not resist some hacking
MSFS 2024
Asobo C172 with IFD 550
Just the IFD 500 inside the bezel, no working buttons yet!
With AirPanel

I do have some experience tinkering with AirManager panels/instruments. But, I am not a graphics designer. Can manage basic editing etc.

Done a bezel for either the IFD 540 or 550. Works well.

This. I’m a coder, and I can use Photoshop, but I’m not good at it. If there were a reliable AI process for generating flat 2D graphics for AM instruments, I’d be on it like a shot (I tried to build one but diffusion models are not good at accuracy). It’s the main thing holding me back from making instruments and panels for all the aircraft I want to fly that don’t have them.

Well, that and I don’t like Lua very much, but I can get over that…
