Join a virtual gliding club (if there are any out there)? You’re really not going to reach “serious” level unless you look into third-party.

thanks , your still not realizing my message to MS/Asobo . I also fly IRL so thats obviously better than 3rd party

You posted in Community > General Discussion. Much like going to VATSIM if you wish for realistic ATC if you wish for this it’s in my opinion you look for an outside source such as some virtual gliding club.

So tell me where in the menu is asking questions of Glider development in sim wish list .

What are you talking about? You posted a livestream about Condor 2 (a great sim btw that I enjoy) and skipping around I see a competition. The context is confusing. Are you inquiring about glider development or what?

oh wow .
Now for a world wide body like the FAI to approve their name for a simulation world competition , IS a MASSIVE deal.
As i said previously and in the title , are ms/Asobo going to take gliding development seriously enough to be included in such a milestone achievment or should i just not waste my time and go back to condor .

so you have answered some great suggestions on where to get more info , but not see the real question …
Are yiou going to keep up and take it serious MS/Asobo

I would stay with Condor.

MS promised thermals for quite some time. So far nothing. Without that I can’t take MSFS seriously for gliding sim.

Yes the first statement is in 2022 which is still current ., we live in hope.

yes indeed for the second statement 100%.
Will see a if they keep up. The guys on the freeware stuff have raised the bar without any official support same as with helicopters .
Just another push to make it better than other sim options is what I posted for really .
as long as the feed grows they might listen

Thermals and Gliders are scheduled for late 2022. The date “promised” was always late 2022 :man_shrugging:

  1. They outsourced the gliding part to a Swiss company. I hope they are up to the task.
  2. The last dev q&a had quite a lot about wind and weather. Seb was hinting at a few things
  • better vertical drafts
  • alignment of thermals with clouds as well as with ground features at some unspecified time in the future.

Asobo has communicated what their planning is for Gliders, having thermals in the game would be an obvious requirement for that to make any sense.

It might be a language barrier, but @VHEEE you are coming across a bit strong, rude even. This is not a helpful attitude, not for Asobe nor for your fellow simmers on the forum.
