Glideslope Boeing Max 8

Hello guys . First , English isn’tmy native language , so be comprehensive with me ;p

I just bought the Asobo 737 Max 8 in career mode , after looooong time with Citation Jet .

And actually , I have some trouble ( or maybe I’m doing something wrong )

When I catch the ILS , I MEAN Vor/loc green , click on app button G/S Switch to green , turn off cmd B to not have autoland . Flaps 40 , on speed that fmc recommended etc etc

Arrival set on fmc with good frequencies. Baro set .Reach the altitude that charts tells me to catch ils .. etc etc .

Everything’s looks fine , except that the plane doesn’t follow the glideslope , and go straight under the magenta diamond and if I let it , looks like the plane wants me to land waaaaay before the runway

That’s weird because , I didn’t have any troubles with A320Neo on employee mode with ILS.

so,did I miss something ? Or its a bug known on Asobo 737 ( if yes , sad for my 99M Cr)

Thanks guys , have a great day and nice flights !

My step by step “how to” on the 737 Max for landing-

=== APPROACH ===

FMC -> INIT REF-> INDEX -> APPROACH
SELECT DESIRED FLAP CONFIG FOR LANDING
{Right Soft Key} COPY PASTE config into FLAP/SPD field
DIAL ILS FREQ INTO NAV1 & set to active from standby
DIAL ILS FREQ INTO NAV2 & set to active from standby
DIAL RUNWAY COURSE heading into MCP LH COURSE DIAL
DIAL RUNWAY COURSE heading into MCP RH COURSE DIAL
SET BARO
LANDING LIGHTS -> ON
TAXI LIGHTS -> AUTO
SEATBELT SIGNS -> ON
SET RADIO DH CALLOUT ALT
AUTOBRAKES -> 3
SPEEDBRAKES -> ARM

=== LANDING ===

Select VORLOC to arm / lock onto localiser
Select APP to arm / lock onto localiser & G/S (note: you should be under g/s to intercept it)
Select AP CMD2 if you want to do an auto land at a CAT III ILS

What do you mean by Select ? These 3 configuration that shows with différents speeds , I have to pick one ? I tought it was just showing me what speed I have to set for what flaps config :joy::joy:

Well I’ll try tonight after work ! Thanks mate :slight_smile:

I have experienced the plane dropping below the glide slope on several occasions.

What are you using as your approach speed? I have found I need to add maybe 10kts to the planes calculated Vref or else I fall below glide slope.

COPY the flap config line you want to use and PASTE it into the empty field at the bottom of that page. It’s required.

On this page it’s write 140 KT for flaps 40 . Wind correction 05kt

Hi @Ephyoria and welcome to the forum !,

Thank you for your post! Your topic has been moved to a sub-category of the User Support Hub

As an experiment next time, try setting 150 kts on the MCP and see what happens.

Same here. Though I have noticed this has only been happening since sim update 5. Update 4, it was capturing perfectly, autolanding etc.
