Even with Sim Update 1 this bug is still here, took off from KJFK-EGLL at 2230 local time, arrival should have been 1030 arrival, but with 4x acceleration the sim rate time did not match, and arrival time at Heathrow is at 630, it should have been 1030. How did this major bug slip by? The fact that the developers missed this and allowed to release just goes to show that MSFS2024 was nowhere near ready for released. Should have been called MSFS2025 with the amount of bugs and glitches that were allowed to slip in.
Its indeed embarrassing for them that they launched an incomplete product. I bought the aviator edition at launch, and I still see that the basics not being in place. My trust in Microsoft / Asobo games has gone down massively tbh. This one-liner rant aside, I was playing around with this sim rate stuff and looked into the 2 main tools mentioned here and other forums. I noticed the following and I am not sure if it’s posted on this thread already or elsewhere, but this is how it works with the new iniBuilds A350 -
-
A350 aircraft has built in simrate adjustment called “Time compression” or something. I don’t know why the fancy naming, but it’s essentially a simrate multiplier and this needs to be set on auto. Only then will the simrate increase and stay at the selection option in its OIS. Otherwise, you will need to keep on pressing the keyboard shortcut constantly. Note: If you press and hold your keyboard shortcut for the simrate, the rate does not cap out at 8x or 16x. It keeps on increasing exponentially and will lead to the sim crashing probably.

With the A350, your simrate will always rest to 1x if you use keyboard shortcut to set it. You will need to use the built-in controller within the OIS. Setting the simrate with the tool mentioned below will also be overwritten by the A350 OIS.
-
When you use the A350 simrate multiplier, in-sim time still runs a 1x, even though you set the simrate with OIS. So, in order to have the in-sim time match the simrate, run this addon while playing the game “Sim Time Rate Adjuster for MSFS 2024”. This will ensure that the in-sim time also moves forward, as you adjust the simrate with the A350.

In general, simply run this add-on exe while playing MSFS 2024, it will ensure the in-sim time also keeps. I will test it further to see how it works with other aircraft as well.
Indeed, a game changer add-on as someone mentioned in this thread. Kudos to Leftos from the flightsim.to community.
And in other positive news, I definitely see that the sim load time is much faster now with SU1, probably around 2x as compared to the previous one, and feels a lot snappier in general. So at least there’s that.
Thanks for posting about this utility Sim Time Rate Adjuster for MSFS 2024.
Another big issue with this simulator are the time zones are a complete mess. Raised this issue multiple times since 2020 was released, no fix from Asobo.
I highly recommend this utility as well on flightsim.to it works with 2024 as well.
