GNS screen too bright

I’ve searched the forum and found nothing about this

Flying at night with the new C185 in FS2024, I found the GN430 screen to be too bright. I can’t even read the numbers. Nothing to do with light dim knobs - If I start the flight in the runway, the engine is running, all the cockpit lights are off and the GNS still tries to blind me.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Known issue: Garmin 430/530 too bright at night

According to Working Title (via their Discord), the issue with GNS blown out displays is fixed and any remaining blown out display issue (he didn’t use the words “is fixed”) is aircraft-specific; so Carenado’s to fix.

It should probably be entered as a C185-specific bug, given this is now the case.

Fixed in SU3 beta

For all a/c? I was flying the C404, and as it got dark, the GNSs became unusable. I ended up resorting to VOR nav (good to flex those muscles again, but annoying that I had to, plus it was really hard to tune the NAV freq). Let’s hope they roll that fix out soon (and some of the other myriad bugs are addressed as well).
