yah I agree its a flight sim or its a game that is a flight sim i think the distinction is academic and people seriously arguing for one side or another is really funny…
Who cares play and have fun…call it what you want.

I’m with you

LoL. It’s like a proof of life photo. Got the current forum posts in the background.
Excellent!
ROFL --Too much detail … and guess what –
I’d be far more impressed if you have told us that both the C152 and the C150 you fly had FLOATS, and were SeaPlanes
Mostly LCL flights, then one M06 - H35 = 862 Miles !!
Make no sense to me – but then, it really does not have to … Its a Game !!
Don’t understand that one. Could you explain that in more detail?
Yes thats a level D sim I have been in plenty of them! Those are 9 million+ dollars! I understand why many want to pretend to be pilots… if you want to believe me or not thats your choice, I dont need to show you a logbook because in all honesty I dont care if you believe me or not.
People are very sensitive on here, funny how most real world pilots will truely understand where I am coming from I was pointing out some discrepancies from real world to this sim to make it more realistic. I will agree they really nailed how flying is expensive needing to spend over 2 grand to have a machine to semi run the game. Or you can spend over 3 or 4 and still only semi run the game it needs optimization not even the next gen cards can run it 4k@60 FPS at least not the 3080 spend about a grand and only get 40 fps seems insane!
Happens with the A320 alot! Coming in on approach nice and stable and then at about 200 feet on the RA the aircraft seems as though its in windshear maybe? You can feel the wind has changed all of a sudden which then makes the wing drop and you end up planting it on the runway if you can get her back under control apparently its a well known issue…
What’s the xwnd component in your example?
I’ve never experienced this problem when flying the A320 manually.
I am not a RL A320 Captain, but in my ignorance of the A320, I would have incorrectly assumed that the opposite would happen. With a 123ft wingspan A32, I would have assume the ground effect, starting at about 60 ft, would have added extra lift to the wing,
Now that was funny!
No. (steady) crosswind doesn’t change the ground effect behavior on an aircraft.
For an aircraft in flight (steady) crosswind doesn’t exist from an aerodynamic POV.
LOL … was reading your post with a very puzzled expression, and then it suddenly Updated, and the word “Steady” appeared !!!
Good thing I re-read my post and edited it just in time
That said, I don’t think that ground effect plays a noticeable role concerning bank angle / lift.
M06 is the old airport identifier it is now KRUE…Thats an old log book for part 141 private pilots license… I stayed local because those flights there are when I had a flight instructor with me… No need to travel far to practice stalls… those were fun.
To be honest, I am still confused, with what seems to be a NEGATIVE Ground effect characteristic. Are we talking A320 in the “Patched” Sim, or in Real Life ??
I’ll have to try a xwnd landing with the MSFS A320, but not even in the 152 or any other MSFS aircraft I’ve experienced this problem.
So it’s a bit strange that the OP mentions only the A320 as a general MSFS flight dynamics issue.
edit:
Just performed 3 landings in the A320 with a variable 10-20kts crosswind component…no wing dip.
Ahhh - I missed that … so this is in FS2020 … now it makes a lot more sense.
All logic bets are off – could be anything - especially after the last patch.
I have given up flying till some of this is fixed … instead, for me, it has become an ATM Simulator, as I mess about with the plane’s cfg files
The plane does not come with charts.
However, I think the OP was reviewing the entire game of Flight Simulator, not just the plane.
Well said on this sim/game nonsense.
Say hello to my ignore list, hateful troll!
