But if i put the game in this way as u can see,the gpu power is constantly 99% so the game is really really smooth.
So the question is why i cant get the game runs still at 99/100%?
I think the “problem” happened since last update.
afaik msfs stay out of full screen but use borderless window. and some time goes out of focus. did you set in nv control panel msfs profile to use max performance instead optimal?
You are likely main thread limited meaning your GPU is not fully utilised, it’s waiting for the next frame information to be passed form the CPU the whole time.
Pretty normal with a powerful GPU in FS2020. You can use Dev mode to display FPS/diagnostic information to see.
You can raise settings, render resolution to get ‘more’ utilisation out of the GPU. Alternatively you can lower settings like LOD to lift CPU performance, raise framerates and likely increase GPU utilisation that way.
However, best perceived performance tends to come from fixing/limiting frame rates and so giving a very consistent frame rate, which we percieve as ‘smooth’ even if FPS is lower. YOu will also not fully utilise your GPU in this circumstance.
Do you have the “Prefer maximum performance” in Nvidia Control Panel?
Also, try upping the render scale in MSFS settings to 120-130 to make the GPU working hard and being GPU limited instead of CPU. With this, is how I get a really smooth like butter sim
Thanks all for the answers…my rest of the pc is i9900k 5.0…32gb ram…others game, like cyberpunk for example the gpu works always 100%.
Maybe its the game.Have to try others options…
I have a 3090ti (also a 3090 which is currently in RMA), with a 12900k, I will also be CPU bound, you will never saturate the 144hz you have in this sim, its just way too CPU intensive, to actually get use out of that GPU, either massively up the graphics or get a 1440p or 4k monitor
I use a 4k monitor which does 120hz, most of the time in the air ill be around 70fps (I do not fly glass cockpits, mainly Spitfire)
The 9900k will be getting hammered on 2 cores, overall usage will look like 20% but 2 cores will be above 70% and thats where your issue is coming from.
