First of I want to say the Sim looks fantastic now we can all load in and start a flight.
My problem is after 15 minutes sitting in a plane my FPS goes from the set 45 target down to 10 FPS due to my GPU memory getting full. this also happens when i put all the settings on low. My RTX 3080 Should be good to play MSFS 2024 on medium/High settings (RTX shadow enabled). I keep some cpu stuff like LOD and Detail low for my poor CPU.
after 2 test flights today it happened bon both test. i couldn’t take off since the FPS was that low. According to dev mode my GPU memory the msfs got smaller each time i switch to pause menu to change settings.
hope this gets fixed since The sim looks amazing and would love to fly it without needing to rebuy a whole new pc.

I had the same issue with my 3080, and I solved it by switching “texture resolution” to “medium” while keeping everything else at high/ultra and that seems to keep the VRAM usage within capacity.
This shouldn’t be a problem since it wasn’t on 2020 it was perfectly fine en dx12 and 11. But thx i hope they will still check if there is a bug tho.

I’m also suspecting a VRAM leak, it happened when I had multiple flights back-to-back, so that could be another issue where we have to restart the sim every couple of flights to clear the VRAM.
I have not experienced this on my 4070 Ti Super. Are you running the most recent Nvidia driver, which specifically listed FS2024 in the new games it is optimized for?
Oh really? We can all do that now?
I have the same problem on a 4070 ti Super with 16gb of VRAM. It seems to be happening when the VRAM gets maxed out. Then the GPU temps and clock falls to idle levels, while the VRAM is kept at 16gb. Quiting to the menu doesn’t help, only reopening the game helps.
Happens after 1-2 hours of gameplay. Seems to be a VRAM leak.

yea noticed it takes a while to get to it, For me it happend after 40 min but could be that i was switching between pause and resume. made it happen faster.
I indeed have the newest Nvidia driver installed
I have the same issue: RT shadows on + load into Fenix + payware EDDF or OMDB kills the performance to unplayable level with 3080ti due to GPU memory overload.
