Great Game - Big Install Issues

I was able to install today with no problems. Took 45 minutes to download and about 15 minutes to install. The real problem I ran into is the additional hour it took me to remap all my controls to what I wanted. Out of the box for my peripherals were some seriously strange mappings. The mapping UI is not straightforward but when you figure it out it makes more sense.

The problem I have is getting the premium deluxe content to be available. It’s simply not there. Not sure what to do about it.

Did you buy the xbox game pass?

About a month ago, yes. However I recently built a brand-new machine specifically for this game. I did a fresh install of Windows and did NOT install game pass, specifically because I assumed something like this might happen. I paid for the Premium Deluxe the day the release date was announced. I have the receipt email and the payment on my credit card. Something is wrong on their end.

Did you go to content manager (in game) to install the upgrade to the base install?

I’m there but it is a Buy/Download option (1 button)

For now I’m just going to fly. There are a lot of people in Orlando right now, I need to get back to the fun.

Yeah i was struggling with the install and the control setup as well. But then i was able to fly for 20 mins untill it crashed to desktop. Probably a good thing tho, its way past bed time!
Just day one issues hopefully :crossed_fingers: Haven’t even looked at the premium deluxe option yet!

Enjoy your flight!

same, just crashed for me on the way back to Orlando from beachside. That kind of sucked. There are A LOT of people online flying around Orlando.

Geez, 60 times faster than it will be for me when I get to start the process in 25 minutes. Want to trade internet?

I have heard (obviously have’t seen for myself) that you have to activate the upgrade packs in the Content Manager.

It’s worth upgrading your internet speed if you can. I have 400mb downloads and we bought a MESH router last week that really goes a great job of pushing Wi-Fi throughout the house, even through walls. My old router didn’t do that at all. If you just bite the bullet and spend a little money you’re going to be much happier in the end. It’s worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Tell me about it :). But I live in the boonies. Best I can get at present is Viasat, which peaks out at about 14M. Next contender to consider will be that SpaceX Starlink service in the next year or so, which should at least reduce lag (no longer having to make the round trip to geostationary orbit) if not improve speed.

Oh my God! That is painful. Living on the Space Coast we get to see the rocket launches all the time. It’s cool stuff to see.

Well, it’s best I’ve ever seen in my life so I’m happy to have it, although I realize it’s pretty slow compared to what they have in civilization
