Where is it sharp?
I noticed this, too, in fact…some regions are better, some worse…peculiar.
My screenshots from my “morning flight” before work are made in my home region where i can make comparisons between the different versions…from nearly breathtaking in beta V1/2 to…well…this.
Parts of the US! I was flying in Miami and it looked really good.

Mine was not looking like that last night. Probably the servers.

I am really disappointed with this game..
7800x3d, 4090, 100mbit everything on ultra + 400 lod and its using like 2-7 mbit all the time only…
cause i am in germany i also changed my DNS to Google and Cloudflare.. still it looks awful most times..
Also tried a VPN a bit better, but the Problem is the game seems to load far terrain too late.. and so i have to look at low pixels flying to mountains ..
sometimes it looks ok, but in the far the hills look like triangles and FS98.. 2020 still works better for me.. kinda sad and frustrated..
Yep! Same issue here. No matter what, still the same.
Is it me or something has drastically improved with SU1?
World textures seems better.
I am not playing msfs24 anymore, but from the patch notes I would guess maybe it has something to do with this:
“Aerials no longer use supersampling option, they are now always sharp.”
Still very blurry to me. I don’t know if it’s because I was flying in South Africa.

That’s not the reason, SA actually has some decent aerial imagery, I’ve made 100’s of flights between Capetown, Johannesburg, PE and King Shaka. The problem is everywhere on my side. The aerial imagery has been completely nuked by Asobo, perhaps not intentionally but it’s definitely gotten much worse since the 1st public beta
So i just installed the SU1 Update and have to say that my ground textures definitely improved. Its not perfect but a good step up. Now Mountains actually look ok at higher altitudes. I hope they improve it further in SU2.

I just visited New York. Unfortunately some places still look really bad and refuse to load in. I spawned in Las Vegas before and it looked much better than this.

SU1 did improve textures in some areas but its still pretty bad
I’m wondering if the downgrade to the textures is location based. You can clearly see the water masking is way off in places like Key West, Cancun etc but I find ground textures to be high in Vancouver BC. Thoughts?
I’m really happy to finally see better ground textures. Its not perfect but definetly a big difference.

Your images are showing photogrammetry, not generic bing aerial textures.
Zoom level seems to be different too.
The ground textures (bing aerial imagery) are still pretty blurry compared to 2020, especially at a bit of distance.
I’m hoping the planned fix in SU2 will sort this issue once and for all.
I saw 2020 for the first time a month after playing 2024 and was shocked how much better 2020 is at rendering dense grass.
If we had skies, trees etc of 2024 and grass/ground of 2020 - pleaseplease. See screenshot - near EGZM Airstrip, same place, same time. 2020 looks miles ahead.
Idk bro, Both PG and the aerial textures have gotten significantly better after SU1 for me. Even at higher altitudes.
It was - I think - better in Beta just before SU1. But not 100% sure.
What’s sure: the quality of grass in 2020 as shown in screenshot is A LOT higher.
Even went to my office space where I have super low latency fast internet to make sure it’s not a bandwith thing. Deleted rolling cage to make sure it was not saved from a former session. Also checked in cloud gaming version.
Could only check on XBox though. Are you on PC?
Would you want to check the fields next to EGZM? It’s a nice area to fly in anyway. 
Edit: it’s also the color of grass. 2024 sometimes shows toxic non true to life colors. As visible in screenshot.
