Growing frustration among Xbox users

I weeded out a few problem add-ons until they update them from SU14 breaking them and it’s been quite excellent.

For the ‘mouse bug’ in the menu I usually stay in game and do a restart of the 'box and it comes right back to MSFS ok, finds online again in a couple seconds and voila back with a mouse.

Still leary of initialization of glass cockpits being lagged out on first start. I habitually just do control-e, let it all boot up and go to outside view and look for choppiness. Then just restart the flight, takes about 10 seconds. If all is smooth, restart one more time and do my cold and dark. Takes about a minute to make sure I don’t set up the entire flight plan just to lag on liftoff. That’s another SU14 bug with initialization of the nav units(G3X is the worst). This bug and the crashing of some animations on 3rd party(and also triggering black screens when flying within range of loading them) adds both showed up halfway through beta and remains now. Black screens are triggered by something spiking the memory when it loads in, even if tiny in size.

Usually ‘animated’ 3rd party or something not optimized properly(like the LOD on the entire add-on is not modeled in steps and just dumps in). I can run with a lot of add ons in view at the same time, like KDCA/KIAD and Washington DC ALL in view at altitude including the 5 extra DC airports, but as soon as the animated items load in, black screen, if not CTD. All worked OK in SU13. Fast/low 200KT+ pass over the animated people at Julianna, the instant they load, bad lag/black screen/CTD. Bring them in slowly, just gets a little laggy, getting worse as you stay near the airport. SU13, no issues. Every time I get CTD/Black screen it’s from the same element drop kicking in. The general ‘world’ and optimized 3rd party, no issues fly around ladeedah and all is beautiful. Normal minor frame drop if very detailed, but not that lag-of-doom where once it starts it chugs methodically until you CTD, you can tell it WILL happen like a blown tire.

There’s a couple TBV1 yoke bugs, if using their pedals plugged into the yoke there will be times brake axis is not loaded and the trim wheel can go completely to -100 instantly with the pedals plugged in. Does not happen with pedals plugged into the flightstick, even if also using the yoke for the throttle quad at the same time or the yoke slaving the pedals to flightstick. Most likely a TB firmware bug, but could be the game when a controller has 16+ active axis?
