GSE items removed from the SDK

Is it just me or is this the same for everyone?

In SDK v 9.0 all of the GSE items are gone. That’s stuff like snowploughs, deicing trucks, ground power untis and quite a few other things.

In addition in files which already have them they’re now showing up as ‘unknown’.

Have they been renamed or are they all gone for some reason? If they’re gone it’s a shame as they added quite a bit of ambience.

Yep gone for me too - such as the following:

Gabel <LibraryObject name="{8E153B4F-1CF2-42CF-CF30-6D2B9FE5F241}"

Luckily, I kept the v8 MSI so I can ‘roll back’ - your compiled version of the project should honour anything included that’s now missing. I’m using v8 to edit some of the airports I made but unless they come back, future airport mods won’t have them in it :frowning:

AND that didn’t work!!! So they are missing and the SDK does not have anything to do with it I think. They’re gone from the sim itself

After a bit of searching I have found that it changed overnight. My XML yesterday has the objects and today they are replaced by unknown. So I don’t believe it’s aSDK. My FS (STEAM) updated a few days ago so this must have something to do with something changing on the PC today. I noticed while I was in game actually running it in a window that in the background some VS file updated automatically (and shouldn’t) so I’ll check that out but…
Maybe a roll back to yesterday might restore

Absolute mystery

Good to know it’s not just me then.

I’ve never used anything that has felt quite so totally out of my hands before. At some point there’ll be a move that truly gets on my ■■■■.

They have likely been renamed… Last sdk update changed a few names round like the lighthouse light to light beacon for example.

It will just need you to run through all the objects sgsin until you spot them all…

I did have a quick scroll. Couldn’t see anything and nothing turned up using the most obvious words, not that they utilise them very often. I’ll try again.

If they are still there then changing the name shouldn’t remove them. There might be projects with hundreds of these items that would have to be painstakingly replaced.
