GSX Pro lead me very often to an occupied gate?!

As you see in the picture, GSX Pro lead me to an occupied gate. What do I have to do to make GSX Pro work proper and not sending me to occupied gates? Or is it a problem with the MSFS2020 itself? I had set airplanes on ground at 0, and I use FSLT.
What makes me really angry is that there are enough free gates. Why did the programm choose the occupied gate?
And btw why there are planes I can crash into while I can drive through others? And I have still some planes with complete white livery, which looks ugly.

This is just a symptom of msfs and how it spawns ai traffic. If a gate is open and the airport is busy and fsltl has ifr set high then it will quickly spawn aircraft at available gates.

If you have too much static aircraft too they can just clog more gates up.

When you use GSX it is I think outside of the sim AI traffic engine so I suspect it doesn’t communicate to the sim “hey Im using this gate”.
I’ve seen this myself and there are two ways I work around it.

  1. In FSLTL just go to the fsltl toolbar and “delete nearby aircraft” button when you are close to the occupied gate. This will remove the offending ai traffic.

  2. I often request a gate from ATC first just after landing, then I go to gsx and choose the exact same gate to arrive at. This way the sim will see the gate as assigned so won’t spawn ai at it.

Neither solution ideal, but they do work.

That is exactly what I do. GSX will say this gate is already occupied, but that is just because this choosen gate is reserved for you by ATC, already.

So it is a problem between Asobo ATC and GSX Pro?

I dont know what the problem is. I think AI spawns where ever there is a free gate, so you have to reserve your gate with atc. @BragRaindrop933 solution works great, so you have both: a free gate and gsx features.

As far as I know these are two separate entities. GSX sit s on it’s own and does it’s own thing. It doesnt interact with ATC OR more crucially default SIM AI traffic engine.
FSLTL is it’s own entity too & only injects traffic into the defaut sim AI engine, so when a FSLTL airliner appears at a gate it’s because default sim AI traffic engine put it there.

So you can rule out GSX and FSLTL as the problem. Like I say there is no easy solution. Only the workaround that I suggested above.

Quite often for example in a similar vein I request a pushback at a busy airport. There are maybe a restricted number of available gates that can be used. So when I pushback, another AI immediately gets spawned into my vacated spot before I even start taxiiing, which is also a bit unrealistic, but another symptom of the same problem.

It seems you are either using an outdated version, or you haven’t tried it recently because, after the Sept. 27th update (2.7.6), GSX will not consider gates assigned to the user airplane as occupied.

This recently added update -

works very well with this method -

So this way default AI traffic won’t occupy the gate, I can get the default sim blue taxi ribbon arrows (if I want them) showing the way, but I can also simultaneously enable GSX at the same gate and have services ready for my arrival at the gate. I can also turn off the blue ribbon and turn on the ‘show me this spot’ in GSX. Overall I’m very happy with this combination method of taxiing to an open/available gate.

Thank you for clarifying.

The only restriction I can think of by using the dual method is that you can’t choose the gate you want to use yourself. So the sim will assign you a random? gate that fits your aircraft, which may not be realistic in real life eg correct terminal/concourse/airline.

For example. In recent airport release of EHAM (Fly Tampa) the gates even come with designations of EU Shengen / Non Schengen gates, and for KLM you’d be using C or D concourses and with default sim you won’t get that assigned correctly by ATC. so you need GSX to do be able to do that assignment.

So in that case I use GSX, get to set the C concourse gate, taxi in and then manually zapped nearby FSLTL AI traffic by using the FSLTL in game panel. Not ideal , but better than taxiing in on top of it!

But even if I delete nearby aircraft with FSLT nothing will happen. I tried that and if that would work out at least it would be ok, but it did not!

Are you sure it’s a FSLTL aircraft? Do you have static aircraft set to zero in the default sim traffic options? It could even be static aircraft included in a mod or actually in your airport scenery?

Do you just have FSLTL running? In game Live traffic should be set to off, and ai traffic should just be being injected by FSLTL. If this aircraft isn’t from FSLTL then there’s no way that FLSTL can remove it via that dropdown.

Try closing FSLTL injector down and see if that aircraft stays or disappears. If it’s the former then it isn’t a FSLTL AI aircraft, so could provide a clue as to what is going on.

Yes static aircraft is set to zero in the settings. I am absolutely sure.
