Guess our 2 surprises for Q4 2025

In the schedule for MSFS 2024 there are 2 surprises listed for Q4 2025, is anybody able to make an educated guess?

I wonder if…

  1. There will be a new career activity?
  2. A film tie in, along the lines of Top Gun or Dune?

Maybe they have to release all of the career activies promised in the trailers before thinking of new one :joy:

  • The FS2020 aircraft shipped with the Aviator Edition will all be updated to actually work
  • Config files will be unencrypted so that the community can update premium and Marketplace planes

Sorry. I usually try to be one of the more positive users. :slight_smile: But kinda snarked out on those two.

Seriously? NASA pack (thus the T-38 that’s coming) and support for orbital flight.

Unlikely, but a hope: Live integration with the MSFS flight planner. I like using the flight planner on my iPad and then keep it on the desk next to me during the flight, but would be cool if it were linked so it showed a plane icon where I was and stayed updated throughout the flight.

The NASA pack sounds cool too.

Wildcard: Something to do with career, like a mission editor. Or allowing missions in free flight mode.

This would be awesome. The Navigraph app does a terrific job of flight tracking on the iPad, but I’m trying to cut down on subscriptions and a simple app like this through the flight planner would be great.

One of the two surprises is obviously the PS five release. The other one, we’ll have to see.

A full API for the weather system to make a real Wx Radar possible… If that happens, as far as I’m concerned, they can also bring msfs2024 to SEGA MegaDrive and Atari :slight_smile:

A surprise could be Updated Korean Air livery for AI traffic would be a nice surprise, plus a South Korea city update I’d love to see-though could South Korea CU or WU be more of a 2026 thing.

The other surprise we all know: MSFS comes to PS5.
