Guess where?

Also the wrong continent. Not many continents left. Third time lucky?

Hint, there’s a couple of very strong clues if you zoom in and look around.

The plane is from Quantas.

True true. So Australia. Narrowed it down to a vast wasteland to find a specific spot from. @Parorng should get this one!

If you looked left of the wing you might notice a large body of water. It might be part of a very large body of water. There’s not a lot of outback in visible range of the coast.

No U in Qantas, it’s an acronym for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services.

Didn’t knew that either. Another lesson learned

Thx… I leave it open for others to play.

Well played. I think if nobody gets it in the next 24h you should name and claim.

Looks like the MacDonald ranges area around Alice Springs.

Was in Alice a couple of days ago, but we come in from the north. I’ll be flying past in a few days, so I’ll see if I can remember to grab a IRL pic.

Well done Duck!

Too far north. Can’t see the ocean from Alice Springs.

No. No you can’t… :grinning:
That’s what I get for focussing on TheDuck’s pic instead of the official one!

Then I’d day it’s the southern Flinder’s Rangers, the Dutchman’s Stern or so. And I’ll be over that way in a few days too. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s close enough for me. It’s a way North and East of the Dutchman’s at Quorn. I’ve been unable to find a name for these ranges in the foreground, but it’s about 50km due exactly East of Hawker, and a bit South of Willeppa.

It’s very small in the picture as quite distant but Wilpena Pound is visible on the right.

Pretty good line of work you’ve got there @Parorng. :+1: I love the colours flying over Australia.

There was another strong clue on the forum if someone had noticed…

For your Australian flights, get the salt lakes fix - it’s much more realistic as most lakes are actually dry across the country.

However saying that, Lake Torrens and Lake Eyre both have some water in them at the moment, which was a treat to see.

So is it me up, or TheDuck? He did find it first.

If it’s me, for the benefit of those who aren’t working strange hours like me, and going to sleep for the next few hours, here’s my submission. Ignore it if it’s not.

Yes it’s your turn.

I do have the salt lakes fix, one of the first I got after switching from xbox to pc, and it makes a huge difference. The water just about visible in the picture is the top of Spencer Gulf and that’s always wet. :grinning:

Hey, no problem : your turn !
I need to renew my pics, anyway… a little bit of sorting in my 2.4k screenshots.

Ooh it’s been a few days…

Hint #1: The beach nearby is gorgeous, but we can’t swim there due to jellyfish and the odd roaming crocodile, and sometimes a shark for good measure.

Did we move to QLD?
