Hope you are enjoying your new home. Queensland is a beautiful place to live (except when tropical storms hit it). I had a wonderful time there when I visited many years ago.

I reckon there’s quite a few, but not a huge number, of international airports to visit in the region. The terrain is quite distinctive so it won’t take long to know if you’re in the right place.

Not Indonesia. But in terms of country guesses you are very close, for multiple interpretations of the word close.
You’re looking for an Asian country which is an archipelago of over 7,000 islands. When you’ve found that country, one of those islands has the answer. 
That last clue about over 7,000 islands…

Japan has over 14,000 islands which certainly does qualify. But a country which more closely matches the 7,000 from my previous clue would be a better place to start a search.

Yes, great work. It’s not much of an international airport but I found a nice freeware for it.
The earlier photoshop effort was a novel approach that probably should not be encouraged. 
I’m not sure if classifies as an abuse of the rules because I’m not sure we have much in the way of rules.
