Guess where?

I agree AI should not be used but would include a google or Bing map. Half the fun is the search. Unless you know which region it is in it is mightily difficult. I agree the answer should be an in sim screen shot which my last one is (if it is correct, oh and to add it was not found using AI) but I have been guilty of posting a google map shot, I will change that.

What does everyone else prefer?

No AI for searching, just follow the suggestions
Flying to the location in the sim is very time consuming. Hence a Bing screen shot if the location should do, imho.

True, sometimes, depending on the location, but one can always spawn in the air at the location too.

I do my flying on X Box and my social interaction on a laptop so much of my searching is on Bing maps. I don’t believe in using Ai to solve a riddle as it defeats the purpose but I really need the rules to include finding and then posting shots from Bing (or other).

Hey guys - thanks for the question! I hadn’t really defined “rules” that deeply and at the end of the day it’s impossible to police it anyway, so it’s down to each participant to play “fair” (gentleman’s agreement, which may or may not work!).

But yes, I agree using AI to search or assist is not really the point of the game at all. I will add that to the first post for what it’s worth (if anyone even reads that!).

As for what you need to post to prove you found the location, anything will do. I understand it is not always convenient to take a similar screenshot from the game itself, but any map image that shows 100% that you found the exact spot is fine. Bonus points if you match the exact view from in the sim!

Yes, correct location! Your turn again.

If I have no idea of location and there is no tips, I might sometimes use “old style” Google image search, not Lens or AI. That previous golf course shape was just too tempting to use Lens.

Right guys, you wanted new places to explore for the answer. Here goes - I will first give you a reduced area to search - so no USA, no EU or UK.

I will just add that the middle building that looks like boxes is not like that. It looks like the ones to the side of it - a tiny bit of AI design but it is quite distinctly recognisable as a whole even on google maps.

is it northern Africa?

No, not N Africa. I will reduce the map size.

I will say the no 23 is significant on google maps.

Found… it’s a university

Your “23” clue was quite helpful and so were the mountains around !

I have no more pics in stock. So I let someone else find it before posting his own pic.

If you fly in sim and post a screenshot then you could have a turn.

ok…just found it on Google maps.

I misinterpreted ‘23’. I thought that was the 23rd parallel so I scoured every inch of the map in that range plus areas sorta nearby. I wasn’t searching in this ‘type’ of area though. After seeing that it was found, I went back under a different theory and that led me right to it…eventually.

so @Pilotfirst9999 , what was your departure and destination that led you to that location?

 Aaagh, yes annoying when we miss the clue by inches. I started out in the air and landed at Ibra airport

When I did a Career flight I passed over this region sometime ago. For some reason I decided, because the desert area looked so bleak, that I would google what was underneath me to entertain myself. Since then I have been fascinated with desert areas. The old forts historically, the topographical shapes and geology are actually very interesting.

I’m not sure who has a turn here. @Theduck38 said it is a Uni and so I am assuming they found it. I can’t understand why there is no screensht though.

So @Baracus250 , @mbraortns , who goes next?

I said I would give my turn, as I am running out of pics for now. I already posted 72 pics here… need to dig into my stock.

That’s why I just said enough to state I had found the place, but did not give the answer…

@mbraortns I let you give the correct answer and take the turn

Does anyone recognize this?

I stumpled across some FS24 video and this location caught my attention. Any idea where this might be?

It seems like this is from the same location:

Looks like Townsville in Australia

Definitely Townsville.

Who’s turn is it now?

well, the answer is here:

I guess the town is Ibra in Oman.

I need a short bit to come up with a new ‘findit’. Im beginning to wonder if my previous Camp Verde pic was too hard or something? I didn’t mean it to be. I’ll look for something easier to see from above.
