Must admit I know very very little about the history of Australia. But the Abos were there way before the Whities “arrived” (from UK and Ireland mainly?!). Why didn’t they grab a nice bit of beach living for themselves, or did the whities push them in to the middle over time?
I mean, there’s plenty of space… give “em a bit of beachy sand (not just desert sand!) and seaside views
The British treated the indigenous terribly. They were no match for the firepower that they brought.
Most aborigines led nomad style lives, following their food and water routes, burning the land as they departed which they knew would regenerate it for next time they passed. They were all rounded up and put into communities. The last one was found in the 70’s I believe. The problem was, was that many warring tribes were forced to live together. Then in the 50’s, the white man decided it would be best to round up all the children and take them away, to be educated in cities. They’re known as the stolen generation and many never found their way home.
Check out a movie called ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’, it’s quite an eye-opener.
Now I am not really sure if the last photo I posted is a glitch. I could see it as a pyramid from far away and when I flew nearer it took this shape (I am TLOD 50 lol) so it seems like it was determined this random hill exists. If it is a sim glitch, I will post another sensible shot in a mo.
But I just want the general location to “win” this one. Don’t need to be too accurate. Any takers?
Yes, I wish I’d have tracked my route on Volanta now as my sense of scale may be off. So I can’t be that accurate or sure. I wasn’t flying that long and went inland a bit from the main mouth of the Amazon there then saw that pyramid in the distance south and headed towards it, so I think it was around this yellow circle. That was the only elevated terrain for as far as I could see so it’s strange!
Yea happy new year folks! Hope you all had a fun one and recovered now
Archer, my guess. Though I’m not sure as I have a nice terrain mod for this area (if I’m right, that is!) so mine looks different but… is that Lands End, Cornwall?
Doh! Correcting myself. I meant The Needles, Isle of Wight.
