H-125 function and visuals issues

Not in the way that a spring driven joystick is for simulator use.

In RL, for an airplane, you have air pressing on both sides of a control surface, and any “centering” is because the air pressure is pushing it back, which is what the pilot would feel.

Using the trim tabs then “trims” the control surface to be off from its neutral, thus trimming the aircraft.

With helicopters, you are controlling a swashplate

A helicopter fully loaded with fuel and one at the end of its flight after all the fuel burned off will have completely different position of the cyclic because of the shift in center of gravity. You are not getting anything forcing to a center point. Even if you have a passenger get out, and the cyclic hover position will change.

I see there are a number of separate reported issues in this report, some which may have existed and already been reported prior to the SU2 Beta. Please may we ask that any newly discovered potential bugs present in the SU2 Beta are reported in this category.

Thanks
The MSFS Team

Edited original post to add a note for the bugs and behavior that are new for SU2

New SU2 bugs are at top and everything is renumbered, and if fixed with patch update, I am marking out with a line so we continue to have a record.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issues listed above and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

Thank you for this post. This is the first time someone collects all items into one post and I still wonder why Airbus Helicopters hasn’t yet insisted on fixing and correcting basic stuff on this so called licensed (I assume?) product… There could be added many more things like startup behaviour which is off (it takes way too long until the turbine starts to spool up), the VEMD screen which is showing EC130 on display startup under certain conditions, the washed out windows which make the surroundings look whiteish and even more. This is a very helpful collection thread and I really do hope that the devs take their time to bring that visually stunning rendition of one of the most used helicopters around into a sim replica which resembles the real world counterpart to the possibilities of the sim.

BTW: There is now a transponder built into the GTN navigator. You can cross that from your list.

I stand corrected, there are more very good posts about the H125 bugs like this one: [MSFS2024] Airbus Helicopter H125

Let´s hope we are heard :star_struck:

Using SU2, currently in Beta 3, but noticed this the other day.

Aircraft will now have a transponder installed as part of the GPS system

I think the only issues with the GPS now is not being able to control its brightness and over blown light at night, and that it shows vertical speed where it should be showing distance to waypoint.

I should have tagged you with the post above this.

Sim crashes when using tail rotor trim (at least it seems to work now)

just this one, or all of them?

Also clarify because making sure, is this using force trim, or the trim buttons, because the H-125 only has the force trim available
