Hey guys,
I’m hoping someone here will be able to help me out. After the update today, I restarted the sim and it wanted me to redownload the 105GB package. There was no way around it. So I did. Well after all day waiting, it finally finished up however, my free space is way lower than before. So It looks like it downloaded and installed twice or something. I can’t figure out where it is as when I manually check the file sizes of every folder, I’m coming up around 155GB short of what Windows is telling me is remaining. How can I track down the “old” files to delete?

No, I only have one xbox account.
I seem to have had the same thing happen on my computer. Seems like it is installing twice. Did the game run fine for you after?
that may be possible
did you choose a custom “Packages” location on the first run of the game?
if so did you make sure that Same location was selected for the updates?
what im thinking here is, each update replaces a lot of files and also may require certain files in the ‘packages’ folder its pointed too.
its possible if you point an update to a new ‘packages’ folder (or the default if you used a custom location) it may install practically the whole game?
Thanks so much for the response. No I did not choose a custom package option. Just the default. I am mind blown at how complex even the installation of this game is.
I am now facing the same issue I am desperate it was working fine and now I cannot find anything that used to be in my game although I havent touch my community folder…I am so annoyed with this now as I waited a whole day and cannot use the sim the way I used to, I am not sure what to do…
